ACNE ROSACEA CHRONIC SKIN CONDITION OF MIDDLE AGED PATIENTS...SEBACEOUS GLANDS SECRETE EXCESS SEBUM. BLOTCHY ERYTHEMA. DILATED SUPERFICIAL BLOOD VESSELS. EDEMA MADE WORSE BY HEAT, COLD, STRESS, EMOTIONS ETC. TREATMENT: TOPICAL ANTIBACTERIAL OR ANTIPROTOZOAL DRUGS

PEDICULOSIS PEDICUL/O - LICE ; -OSIS = CONDITION; STATE INFESTATION OF LICE AND THEIR EGGS (NITS) IN THE SCALP, HAIR EYELASHES AND GENITAL HAIR .
KELOID SCAR (SEE ALSO CICATRIX) FIBROUS SCAR TISSUE COMPOSED OF COLLAGEN. TYPICALLY LARGER THAN THE ORIGINAL INJURY. CAUSED BY AN OVERPRODUCTION OF COLLAGEN. TREATMENT: SURGICAL REMOVAL
MALIGNANT MELANOMA MALIGN/O - CANCER OR INTENTIONALLY CAUSING HARM, -ANT = PERTAINING TO, MELAN/O - BLACK, -OMA - MASS OR TUMOR (SKIN CANCER THAT BEGINS IN THE MELANOCYTES IN THE EPIDERMIS. GROWS QUICKLY AND METASTASIZES TO OTHER PARTS OF THE BODY.
ABCD (CHARACTERISTICS OF MALIGNANT MELANOMA) A - ASYMMETRY (ONE SIDE HAS DIFF SHAPE THAN THE OTHER), B - BORDER (BORDER IS IRREGULAR OR RAGGED), C- COLOR (COLOR VARIES FROM BLACK TO BROWN WITHIN THE SAME LESION) D- DIAMETER (DIAMETER IS GREATER THAN 6MM - 1/4 OF AN INCH)
