Five Pillars of Faith the most basic acts of worship for Muslims: faith, prayer, charity, fasting, and making a pilgrimage to Mecca
Shahadah the First Pillar of Islam; the profession or declaration of faith
Salat the Second Pillar of Islam; daily ritual prayer
Zakat the Third Pillar of Islam; almsgiving or charity (giving to those in need)
Siyam the Fourth Pillar of Islam; fasting or going without food to show their devotion to God
Ramadan the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, during which Muslims are required to fast
