add on codes | used for procedures that is always performed during the same operative session as another surgery in addition to the primary service or procedure |
modifiers | 2 digits to be added to give a more accurate description of the services rendered. |
CPT codes are: | 5 digit codes |
▲ | represents change in the code description since the last edition |
► ◄ | represents changes in the text of definition between the triangles |
• | represents a new procedure or service code since the previous edition of the manual |
+ | indicates a add-on code |
