| Diaspora | the dispersal of the Jews outside of Judah after the Babylonian Captivity |
| monotheism | the belief in only one god |
| Torah | the most sacred text of Judaism |
| synagogue | a Jewish house of worship |
| prophets | someone who is said to receive messages from God to be taught to others |
| Rabbis | a Jewish religious leader and teacher |
| Passover | a holiday in which Jews remember the Exodus |
