8. Longitude measures east and west and the lines run from north to south
9. Prime Meridian 0 degrees longitude and divides the earth into east and west hemispheres
10. Equator 0 degrees Latitude and divides the earth into north and south hemispheres
11. Compass shows ‘cardinal direction’ NORTH SOUTH EAST WEST
