Plantar Fascitis

QuestionAnswer
What is the AH-HA finding for plantar fascitis? Px first few steps after resting or getting out of bed in the morning. Px is on medial, anterior aspect of calcaneus.
What are the posture findings with plantar fasc? Pronated calcaneus, pes planus
What would you find during palpation? tenderness in medial calcaneal attachment, swelling in med. Longitudinal arch, adhesions in plantar fascia.
What are the ROM findings? AF & PR reveal pain on extension of big toe, and pain on hopping on forefoot
What test can be used for this? Gastrocnemius/soleus length test
What is a tx focus for plantar fascitis? Friction, stretch, ice
