How long ago did life begin, and how did they discover life? Life began approximately 1 billion. Individual cells were found.Everything on the body you see is dead.you flake off dead cells everyday.The underneath cells constantly replace the fallen off cells.
How old are man by fossils? And what part of the man were found? Earliest fossils place man about 1.7 million years old. Bones,Teeth,Hair,Pieces of skull,Most dense parts are found
What were the oldest finds named, and where were they found? Earliest finds have been named Java Man (from Africa), and Peking Man (from China/Asia)
How did man survive the ice age? Man survived because of their reasoning ability, use of fire(for warmth and to keep predators away)
what is pre-history, and how was this period discovered? The time before written records.info was gathered from pottery, drawings, bones.look at skeleton to tell how they died.teeth can tell what they ate.Religion told Europeans not to bath.
What must every english ship have imprinted on it? Every English ship has HSM(his/her majesties ship)
What is the cro-magnon man, how old is it, where were the fossils found? First European ancestor. named Homo sapiens.
what does homo-sapien mean? a wise man
How old is the cro-magnon man? dated about 70,000 years ago
where were the cro-magnon man fossils found? in france
what animal hunts man? none, we are at the top of the food chain
what were some characteristics of the Homo-sapiens? The Homo sapiens stood completely upright, had Brain capacity, Made use of caves, built fire, wore clothing, spoke common language, lived in groups but not communities
How many eras were man's development divided into? and name them Man's development is divided into three eras. Paleolithic - old stone age, Mesolithic - middle stone age, Neolithic - new stone age
describe the new stone age. Neolithic - new stone age. during this time they began family, domesticated animals, built permanent structures of reed or wood, organized system of defense,Developed common language religion government,migrated from Africa to the Mediterranean Sea area
what did man do when population increased? As the population increased man began to organized into groups called city-states
