Purpose of the EU (3) -Promote unity between member states -Support Economic growth across Europe -Increase trade between member states
Benefits of the EU (2) -Currency is the same everywhere -Freedom of movement of members
Problems with the EU (3) -Religious difference between countries -Economically stronger countries tied to weaker economies -Loss of some legal/political independence
Countries not in the EU and why (2) -Russia (there is no free market economy and still some human rights violations) -Norway (Fishing tax on their main resource and are typically neutral)
Why don't countries wanna be in the EU? Some do not meet the membership qualifications or do not want to or they are neutral states.
How do you become an EU member? -meet standards man idk
