Valgus Stress Test - Knee MCL - place hand on lateral knee joint push inwards causing pressure to be placed on the Medial Col ligement.
Varus stress test LCL - Place the hand on the medial knee Joint and push laterally or outwards causing pressure to be placed on the lateral collateral ligament
Anterior drawer test ACL - Push forward on the knee
Lachman's test ACL - Lift the leg while applying pressure pushing down on the knee
Posterior drawer test PCL - push posterior at the knee
Sag gravity drawer test PCL supine ishial tuberosity sags when the knee is lifted 90 degrees gravity takes over tibialis and fibula sag
Clark's sign Patellofemoral - tight quads - tap on patella apply pressure
Modified ober's test IT band friction syndrome - layeral lnee pain- sideline lift leg up and backwards behind client drop it down behind the other leg and off the edge of the table. If it hovers it's positive for tight IT band
Noble compression test IT band friction syndrome put on lateral knee bent and then straighten the knee while applying pressure to the lateral side
Apley's compression / distraction test Meniscus - Prone position bend the knee hold the foot inflection while applying pressure down on the knee laterally and medially rotate
Mcmurray's test Meniscus - Apply pressure to both sides of the ligament at the knee rotate the knee medially and laterally while knee is at 90 degrees If there is pain in both sides it is a ligament issue
Ankle drawer test Lateral ankle sprain lift the calcaneus upwards
Talar tilt test Lateral ankle sprain sideline inversion of the foot
Squeeze test High ankle sprain squeeze test squeeze the medial and lateral side of the knee together to extend the tibia and fibia at the ankle
External rotation stress test High ankle sprain dorsiflex the foot externally rotate
Interdigital squeeze test Morton's neuroma squeeze the foot from the great toe to the baby toe in words if pain then positive for Morton's neuroma nerve compression
Morton's test Pinching between the third and fourth metatarsal if pain positive for Morton's neuroma
Bone percussion metatarsals Stress fractures in the metatarsal tapping on the bone of the medial side of the foot
