Nationalism the belief that areas(i.e. states, countries, nations, empires) should be separated by background. (heritage, culture, language, religion) Also known as being loyal to your heritage and people of same descent over your country and government.
Liberalism wanting more rights for yourself and community. These are things such as equality, constitutions, representative governments, and voting rights for all men.
Conservatism wanting the bulk, if not all power, to remain in the government's hands. An example would be a dictatorship in which the leader makes all rules.
Congress of Vienna (Definition) The Congress of Vienna was a group of European leaders who came together to restore the old order after the defeat of Napoleon.

Congress of Vienna (Actions) restored the Bourbon family (Louis XVIII) to the French throne, placed Ferdinand VII on Spain's throne, and established the Concert of Europe.
Political changes in 1820s-1830s Liberalism became more popular as people sought more rights for themselves. Nationalism grew even stronger as people began to identify themselves as a part of a community of people who shared language and culture

The liberal rebellion of France in July 1830 ridded France of the Bourbons, National rebellions in Italy/Greece-1821, Poland/Belgium-1830 and Liberal revolts in Spain-1820, Russia-1825 threatened the Congress's goals to maintain conservatism

What were the main issues surrounding the revolutions of 1848 in the Austrian empire? (Liberal/Nationalist) Groups such as Czechs and Hungarians find newfound pride in their culture and people also demand a constitution and end to serfdom.
