My main duties are protecting Egypt, making laws & keeping the gods happy. Who am I? The pharaoh
We are advisors, treasurers and generals. We help the pharaoh do his duties. Who are we? government officials
We are highly respected because so few people can do what we do. We are not born into this class, we must train for a long time to learn to do our job. Who are we? scribes
I learned my job from my father. I produce the goods that others need. There are many of us that make things for others. We can work from home or in a workshop. Who am I? craftsman
We make Egypt rich from our trade and travels. We are the shop owners found in every city. Who are we? merchants
We are potters, shoe makers, jewelry makers, carpenters, weavers. We learned our craft from our fathers. Who are we? artisans
We are the people who feed the country. We work the pharaoh's land. When we can't work in the fields, we work on building projects for the pharaoh. Who are we? peasants
We were captured in war. We do many jobs. Who are we? slaves

When we are not defending Egypt or conquering our enemies, we work on building projects for the pharaoh. Who are we? soldiers

We run the temples, complete daily rituals and even run the schools for scribes. Who are we? priests
