| Sumer | An area of Mesopotamia where cities first started to appear |
| Tigris River | One of the largest rivers in Southwest Asia that flow from the mountains of Turkey to the Persian Gulf |
| Euphrates River | The longest river in South west Asia that flows from the mountains of Turkey to the Persian Gulf, a water source to rich fertile soil for farmers |
| Mesopotamia | The geographic area located between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, it means the land between the rivers |
