Acquire - to get (something) : to come to own (something) : to come to have (something). : to gain (a new skill, ability, etc.) usually by your own effort.
Pharaoh - political and religious leader of the Egyptian people, holding the titles: 'Lord of the Two Lands' and 'High Priest of Every Temple
Pyramid - Egyptian architecture were the dead are buried.
Hatshepsut - brought peace and abundance to Egypt during the New Kingdom. The Woman Who Was King 1473–1458 BC during Middle Kingdom Hatshepsut
Merchant - a business person who trades in commodities produced by other people in order to earn a profit.
Papyrus - paper made from reeds growing by the Nile River
Agriculture - farming and animal rearing, to produce food to feed a civilization
Hieroglyphics - Egyptian written language
Book of the Dead - a guide to help people reach the afterlife
Trade - the act of exchanging one thing for another
Nile River - a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa
Mummification - All internal organs were removed- except the heart; considered integral to one's afterlife. The mummified body provided a place for a person's ba, or spirit, to return to the body after death.
Imhotep - was a vizier, wizard, and the first architect and physician known by name to written history.
Dynasty - a line of hereditary rulers of a country.
Lower Egypt - Land north on the Nile
Upper egypt-Land south on the nile
Old Kingdom - 505 years
Middle Kingdom - 405 years
New Kingdom - 481 years
