How did Sumer have a government? Sumer had kings that lead the army, governors to help rule, and scribes to record laws.
How did Sumer have Social Structure? Sumer had a higher class, a middle class, and a lower class. The higher class were priests and government officials, middle class people were craftsmen and merchants, and the lower class were slaves.
How did Sumer have writing ? Sumer had a highly developed written language called cuneiform which was based on pictographs. They also used styluses.
How did Sumer have art? Sumer made jewelry, cups, weapons, mirrors, and more. They also made music and fancy temples and ziggurats ( architecture ).
How did Sumer have religion? Sumer citizens believed in a set of gods . The built ziggurats, temples, and statues representing the gods.
How did Sumer have technology? Sumer had arches, wheels, tools, pottery, carts, chariots, and clay blocks.
How did Sumer have a stable food supply? Sumer had plows to plant seeds, they had canals, dams, and reservoirs, and a complex irrigation system.
