abdominopelvic cavity is further subdivided into: abdominal cavity and pelvic cavity
abdomen is divided into 9 regions: epigastric, umbilical, hypogastric, hypochondriac (left & right), lumbar (left & right), iliac or inguinal (left & right)
abdomen is divided into 4 quadrants LUQ, RUQ, LLQ, RLQ
