People and their achievements during the Renaissance time period.

Cervantes -he wrote Don Quixote
Niccolo Machiavelli -published "The Prince" -book took a look at the world of politics and how to get and keep political power
Queen Elizabeth -promoted renaissance spirit -well educated and spoke several languages -wrote poetry and showed support for artists
Johann Gutenberg -used movable type to invent the printing press
William Shakespeare -one of the most famous playwrights in England -wrote "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Romeo and Juliet", "Hamlet", and "Macbeth".
Albrecht Durer -said to be the best German renaissance artist -also created many woodcuts -created "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse"
Jan Van Eyck -paintings included minute details and bright colors -made "Annunciation" and "Giovanni Arnolfini and his Bride"
Peter Bruegel -painted everyday scenes -painted detailed works
