Regions What do locations have in common?-- Climate, religion, language, education
Latitude Measures south and north and run from east and west-- like the rungs of a ladder
Longitude Measures east and west and the lines run from north to south
Prime Meridian 0 degrees longitude and divides the earth into east and west hemispheres
Equator 0 degrees Latitude and divides the earth into north and south hemispheres
Compass shows ‘cardinal direction’ NORTH SOUTH EAST WEST

State Florida is a state
Hemisphere Half of sphere earth is separated into north and south hemisphere and east to west hemisphere.

Fossil an impression in rock left by a plant/animal from an earlier time
Technology the ways knowledge, tools, inventions are applied to meet needs
Archaeologist person who studies human history through remains
