Latitude Measures south and north run from east and west-- like the rungs of a ladder.
Longitude Measures east and west run from south and north.
Prime meridian 0 degrees longitude and divides the earth into east west hemispheres.
Equator 0 degrees latitude and divides the earth into south and north hemispheres.
Compass Shows "cardinal direction". NORTH, SOUTH ,EAST, WEST.
