Location- Tells you where it is
Place- What is it like when you get there
Movement - People and ideas get around
Human environment interaction - What do the people do to the environment? What does the environment do for the people?
Regions - What do locations have in common?-- Climate, religion, language, education
Latitude - measures from north to south and the lines run east to west
Longitude - measures east and west and the lines run from north to south
Prime Meridian - 0 degrees longitude and divides the earth into east and west hemispheres
Equator - 0 degrees Latitude and divides the earth into north and south hemispheres
Compass - shows ‘cardinal direction’ NORTH SOUTH EAST WEST
Continent - on earth we have 7 large land masses called continents
Country - territory of a nation
State - Florida is a state
Hemisphere- Half of a sphere
