Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) Organization appointed by the Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) to certify electronic health record software
Classification systems Organize related terms onto categories for easy retrieval; used for billing and reimbursements, statistical reporting, and administrative functions
Computer Physician Order Entry (CPOE) Application used by physicians and other health care providers to enter patient care information
Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Nationally recognizable five-digit numeric coding system maintained by the American Medical Association (AMA) that is used to represent a service provided by health care providers in an outpatient setting
Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) Protected health information that is created, received, maintained, or transmitted on electronic format
International Classification of Diseases (ICD) The internationally recognizable three – to five-digit code set representing medical conditions or signs and symptoms; diagnosis codes used in a health care settings; standards developed by the World Health Organization (WHO)
Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC) A universal code system for identifying laboratory and clinical observations
National Drug Code (NDC) A code that identifies all medications recognized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by the vendor (manufacturer), product, and package size; number identifies a listed drug product that is assigned a unique 10-digit, 3-segment number
Protected Health Information (PHI) Individually identifiable health information, held or maintained by a covered entity or its business associates acting for the covered entity that is transmitted or maintained in any form or medium
Treatment, Payment, and Operations (TPO) Conditions under which protected health information can be released without consent from the patient

The following are values represented in the DASHBOARD that are refreshed over night: Open Admissions; Admissions with Missing Days
To generate an appt for a PT prior to currently scheduled appt with provider you would click the following: WAIT LIST under the APPOINTMENTS section of the DASHBOARD
An inactive claim would be one that has gone unpaid and also has had no follow up for 30 Days
What feature is only used for primary payments and designed to notify you that you are paid less than actual amount owed? Verify Payments
Where can you see the total number and names of operators who worked in HarrisTracker PM and EMR on a particular date? User Account Audits
