| Computer Physician Order Entry (CPOE) | Application used by physicians and other health care providers to enter patient care information |
| Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) | Nationally recognizable five-digit numeric coding system maintained by the American Medical Association (AMA) that is used to represent a service provided by health care providers in an outpatient setting |
| Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) | Protected health information that is created, received, maintained, or transmitted on electronic format |
| International Classification of Diseases (ICD) | The internationally recognizable three – to five-digit code set representing medical conditions or signs and symptoms; diagnosis codes used in a health care settings; standards developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) |
| Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC) | A universal code system for identifying laboratory and clinical observations |
