Democracy -- ‘People Rule’ -A form of government in which people choose leaders by voting.
Oligarchy- Government or control by a small group of people --Ruled by a few
Monarchy - A form of government with a monarch at the head. Ruled by One
Agora-- -a public open space used for assemblies and markets.
Polis-- a city state in ancient Greece
Helot-- a member of a class of serfs in ancient Sparta, intermediate in status between slaves and citizens.
Peninsula a piece of land almost surrounded by water or projecting out into a body of water. Surrounded by water on 3 sides
Island-- a piece of land completely surrounded by wate
Tyrant- Is someone who takes power by force and rules with total authority.
