Jacques Necker financial advisor to the king who was fired after suggesting they tax the first 2 Estates and cut material spending
Cahier translates to “notebooks” and refers to the notebooks listing the grievances of the 3 Estates; most called for reforms like fairer taxes, freedom of press, and regular meetings of the Estates General
Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen document issued by the National Assembly after overthrowing the government; modeled after English Bill of Rights and the American Declaration of Independence; included Enlightenment ideas of freedom and equality of all men before the law
