Covenant Vocab

TermDefinition
Covenant A promise made between God and His people.
Jewish Tradition The history and celebrations of people who believe in the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Israelities People who are related to Jacob who became Israel and had 12 son who became the 12 tribes of Israel.
Passover The celebration of the event where God saved the Israelities out of Egypt.
Salvation Being saved. For example, when Jesus saved us from our sins.
Salvation History The history of God saving his people throughout time.
Lamb of God A name for Jesus because he became the Lamb that was sacrificed to save us.
10th Plague The angel of death came through Egypt and took the firstborn son.
Moses A prophet and leader of the Israelite people. He listened to God and helped save them.
Every covenant has these things ...? A sign, and promise of a blessing, and a requirement to obey and love God.
Who were the 5 covenants of the Old Testament made with? 1. Adam and Eve 2. Noah 3. Abraham 4. Moses 5. King David
What is the sign of Noah's covenant? The Rainbow
What was the promise of Abraham's covenant? As many children (or descendants) as the stars.
What was the requirement to obey in the covenant with Moses? The Ten Commandments
