The Muscular System

3 Types of Muscle Tissue 1) skeletal 2) smooth 3)cardiac
Skeletal muscles This is the type of muscle that attaches to you bones.
Smooth muscles This type of muscle is found in many organs of your body.
Cardiac muscles This is a special type of muscle found only in your heart.
Things to know about skeletal muscles -works with bones, to move your body -you control when and how they work
Things to know about smooth muscles -you don't have control over these muscles, they work automatically (your stomach has smooth muscles lining the inside of it)
Things to know about cardiac muscles -you don't control this muscle either
How your muscles work -your skeletal muscles work in pairs to move your body -one muscle contracts (gets shorter) and the other extends (gets longer)
