Aztec | Warlike nomads arrived in the Valley of Mexico in 1250 ACE and built their own kingdom. The king was the top of the Aztec empire. Kings claimed to be descendants of the gods. |

Tenochtitlan | Aztec city means ‘Place of Prickly Pear Cactus” Tenochtitlan was a city-state located on an island in Lake Texcoco in the Valley of Mexico. Founded in 1325.Today the ruins of Tenochtitlan are located in the central part of Mexico City. |
