| Hernando Cortes | The conquistador that conquered the Aztecs with guns, horses, and diseases. |
| Francisco Pizarro | The conquistador that conquered the Incas with guns, horses, and diseases. |
| Colombian Exchange | The exchange of plants, animals, people, and diseases between the old and new world. |
| Triangular Trade | The trade rote between Europe, Asia, and the Americas where raw materials, manufactured goods and slaves were trades between the tree regions. |
| Atahualpa | The last emperor of the Incas that tried to buy his freedom with a roomful of gold. |
| Miguel Hidalgo | A Criollo priest from Dolores that began Mexico's independence. He famously rang the church bells (Cry of Dolores) to call for revolution. |
| Toussaint L'Ouverture | A former slave that began Haiti's fight for independence during the night of fire. Haiti was the first Latin American country to gains it freedom from Eeropean powers. |

| Cuban Missile Crisis | The time period when the Soviet Union negotiated with Cuba to place missiles on the island. The US placed a blockade on Cuba. This eventually, led to the removal of the missiles. |
