What is a deluge? a flood
Grace is The gift of God's love that helps us act like him and be with him in the next life
A covenant is 1) an act of merciful love from God toward His people along with 2) a promise to continue that love 3) expressed in words and deeds
Hope is the theological virtue by which we desire and expect from God both eternal life and the grace we need to attain it
How is the story of Noah an example of God's merciful love? He showed His merciful love when He spared Noah and his family from the flood and established a New Covenant with him. This new bond of love was the good that God drew from the evil of sin.
What promise did God make with Noah along with the Covenant? To never FLOOD the earth again
What is a deluge? a FLOOD
When and where did this happen? c. 2000 b.c. and the Middle East
What does this story tell us? it shows us God's merciful love
