lararium A household shrine (altar).

triclinium A dining room in the home of an upper class Roman.
Scroll Early books of Rome did not include pages but were long pieces of papyrus or vellum rolled up into a cylinder.
senator A man who served in the most powerful government body of Rome.
toga A wrap made out of cloth usually worn for special occasions over a tunic.
forum Marketplace where Romans gathered to bbuy and sell goods, socialize, and do business.
mosaic A picture or design made of many small pieces of glass, stone, pottery, or brick.
legion The main fighting unit of the Roman army.
