Immune To be protected; made up of a network of cells, tissue, and organ
Pathogens bad germs that cause disease in your body
Cilia Hairs or hair-like processes on the surface of many cells
Reflexes An automatic response to a stimulus
White Blood Cells (Leukocytes) Disease-fighting specialist
Lymphocytes Types of white blood cells (B-Lymphocytes & T-Lymphocytes)
B-Lymphocytes Produces antibodies (specialized proteins that fight disease)
T-Lymphocytes Looks for invading, hiding, or unfamiliar body cells and kills them; Don't produce antibodies and kills cells from direct contact
Antibodies Specialized protein that fights off pathogens
