| Pathogens | bad germs that cause disease in your body |
| Cilia | Hairs or hair-like processes on the surface of many cells |
| Reflexes | An automatic response to a stimulus |
| White Blood Cells (Leukocytes) | Disease-fighting specialist |
| Lymphocytes | Types of white blood cells (B-Lymphocytes & T-Lymphocytes) |
| B-Lymphocytes | Produces antibodies (specialized proteins that fight disease) |
| T-Lymphocytes | Looks for invading, hiding, or unfamiliar body cells and kills them; Don't produce antibodies and kills cells from direct contact |
| Antibodies | Specialized protein that fights off pathogens |
