Africa and the Bantu

Migration The movement from country or region to settle in another.
Bantu A large group of of central and southern Africans who speak related languages.
Savanna An area of grassland with scattered trees and bushes.
Sahara A huge desert the stretching across most of North Africa
Oral History Accounts of the past that people pass down be word of mouth.
Clan A group of families who trace their roots to the same ancestor.
Why did the Bantu Migrate? To find better land for farming.
Where are Africa's rainforests? Central Africa
What did the Bantu spread? Their Culture
Why do we know so little about the history of Sub-Saharan Africa? Because their tools and houses have disintegrated.
