| Irrigation | the artificial application of water to land to assist in the production of crops. |
| Aryans | A group of people that invaded India. They changed Indian life which they still follow today. |
| Hindu | The religion that the Aryans brought to India. |
| Caste | any class or group of society sharing common cultural features |
| Outcaste | a person of no caste |
| Buddha | Indian religious leader |
| Buddhists | The people who followed Buddha were called this. |
