Aristocracy Government ruled by a small group of noble, land-owning families.
Monarchy A single king or monarch rules the government.
Oligarchy Government ruled by a few powerful people.
Democracy People ruling the government
Direct Democracy Government where citizens rule and make laws directly rather than through elected representatives.
Republic Government where the power rests with citizens who have the right to elect leaders who make government decisions.
Senate All patricians; controls foreign, financial policies.
