TermDefinition
Red Land Arid, dry land, usually rich in iron ore.
Despot A tertiary, omnipotent, usually malevolent leader.
Old Kingdom Arising after the Great Flood, developed a strong national government-the first in history.
New Kingdom It was during this time probably during the reign of Ramses II, that Moses took his people from Egypt to the Promised Land.
Totalitarian A government where total control is lodged in one leader.
Middle Kingdom There were several civil wars and King Mentuhotep II united the Kingdom again but he moved the capital to Thebes.
Delta Fertile lowlands near the mouth of a river.
Oligarchy A government whose leadership is one strong leader.
Black Land Fertile loam soil.
Pharaoh King/leader of Egypt.
