What can we learn about people by studying fossil bones? We can learn about the past.
What were the characteristics of the Ice Age? The Ice Age was 2.5 million-12,000 years ago.
What does Homo habilis mean? Handy humans.
What does Homo sapien mean? Wise human.
Why is the old stone Age called the Old Stone Age. Its called Old Stone Age because its in the past and the tools were stone.
When did Cro-Magnons live? 40,000 years ago.
What did Neanderthals look like? They had bad posture,bowed legs,and sam size brains as we do.
Why was the developement of language important to man? To share information,to pass knowledge/tradition,discuss advantages of tools.
What are:glaciers,technology,hunter gatherers? Glaciers- Huge ice slabsTechnology- Tools to make life easierHunter-Gatherers- Homo erectus
Give exmaples of why improved tools were important to man throughout time. They allowed people to take full advantage of their surroundings.
How did the Ice Age help man to travel/move to new continents? If the oceans were frozen, they could walk across to a new continent.
What types of artifacts or things left from the past, do we use to learn about early humans? We study fossil bones,tools, and artifacts.
What evidence do scientists have to prove that Neanderthals had a strong sense of comuunity? How would a strong sense of community help them to survive the Ice Age? They took care of eachother.If they had a close relationship, they could help eachother if the other one gets sick.
