Where, when and how did Islam begin? Islam began in Mecca about 1,400 years ago. It began with the teachings of a man named Muhammad after he had a vision of the angel Gabriel.
How is Islam a whole way of life as well as a religion? good Muslim follows Islamic daily rules of living, the Five Pillars of Islam. 1 one God, Muhammad is a prophet, 2 pray 5x/day dawn-dusk, 3 give alms to poor, 4 fast between dawn-dusk in holy month of Ramadan and 5 make pilgrimage to Mecca at least once
What were some of the accomplishments of the early Muslims? Islamic empire grew from Spain to India, (Persia, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, and Egypt). Muslims learned Arabic because they memorized the Koran. Muslims also valued reading and writing.
Where is the Gaza strip? is a coastal strip of land along the Mediterranean Sea. It borders Egypt on the south-west and Israel on the north and east.
