Effects of the additives

Sodium Citrate (NaC) anticoagulant that prevents clotting by binding calcium
Potassium Oxalate (KOx) anticoagulant used with antiglycolytic agent NaF......prevents clotting NaF prevents glucose breakdown
silica glass particles that enhance coagulation....clot activator
thixotropic gel forms a physical barrier between the cells and the serum or plasma when centrifuged
