Perspective Technique that produces the appearance of three dimensions on a flat surface
Leonardo Da Vinci Italian artist who also excelled in astronomy, geometry, and anatomy. He is famous for the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
Michelangelo Renaissance artist who sculpted the statue Moses and painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome
Florence One of the most important and influential cities of the early Renaissance
William Shakespeare The most famous English writer of the Renaissance, author of Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet
Elizabethan Age The period between 1558 and 1603 when Queen Elizabeth ruled England
Johann Gutenberg Inventor of the printing press
Printing Press A machine that pressed paper against a tray of movable type
Vernacular A person's native language.
