Chivalry A code of behaivor the knights had to follow (courage,honesty,kindness,respect,keep faith,protect and cherish women)
Feudalism A political and social system in which less powerful pepole loyalty and servince in return for land.
Manorialism The medieval economic system in which people lived in self-sufficient communities run by feudal lords
Crusades Holy wars between Chritians and Muslims for control of Holy land (jerusalem)
Black Death The disease (bubonic plague) that killed 1/3 of europe
Commercial Revolution Led to the concepts of banking, guilds, trade fairs, and capitalism
Guild Association of merchants or artisans who cooperated to protect their economic interests (similar to a union)
Pax Mongolia A time of peace and stability resulting from Mongol conquests
Khanates An area ruled by a Mongolian leader (Khan)
Justinian Code Set of laws in the Byzantine Empire
