What was the main purpose of the Incas establishing welfare state? The government supported its citizens in need.

What did the Incas use silver and gold for? They were used for crafting jewelry, dishes, statues, and wall decorations.
What techniques did the Incas use to expand farming? They built terraces and irrigation systems.
What happened after Huayna Capac died? A civil war broke out and Spanish soldiers conquered the Incas?
What beneficial actions did Pachacuti, a great warrior king, do to the Inca Empire? He raised a powerful army and used diplomacy to expand the Empire.
How did the Incas keep order over such a huge empire? By using good administration over their government.
What did Incas do every year to keep track of their populations in cities? They took censuses, which are population surveys.
Where and when did the first advanced Inca society arise? Around 1200 A.D, in the Andes region of South America.
Why was living in the Andes difficult for humans? The cold climate, steep slopes, and high elevation made it difficult.
True or false? Pachacuti was the last Sapa Inca, or warrior king, to rule. False.
What livestock did the Incas have? They had alpacas,llamas, and vicunas.
What was one method that the Incas used to bring together their empire besides the road system? Acceptable answers: organized government, conquered people used the Inca's language, messengers with quipus, doing censuses, or making welfare states.
What was the city of the Incas where government was centered and had shown skill in architecture? Cuzco.
How did the road system benefit the Inca Empire? By physically connecting the empire.
