Science vocab lunch

TermDefinition
Silt A mixture of tiny bits of soil and rock carried and deposited by a river.
delta The flat, fan shaped land made of silt and deposited at the mouth of a river.
irrigation The watering of dry land by means of canals and pipes.
Nile River The Nile River wound it's way through a vast desert and was used for water and mainly farming and irrigation.
Lower Egypt Lower Egypt is lower or down stream of the Nile River.
Upper Egypt Upper Egypt is towards the South of the river. The Nile river cuts through some stone cliffs and desert sand.
