Sabbath a weekly day of rest for the Jewish the 7th day, Saturday
judge a leader who could rally the Israelites to defend their land/were often warriors or prophet/could not pass leadership to descendants
exile separation from one's homeland
Diaspora communities of Jews living outside their ancient homeland
synagogue meeting place
Exodus the escape of Israelites from slavery. It is celebrated during slavery.
