A full summary of the whole Greek EMPIRE

QuestionAnswer
What did an ancient Greek city-state include? It included a fortress on a hill called acropolis with temples. It had houses, markets, public buildings, surrounding areas and high walls.
Why did the Greeks form city-states? Because invaders started to attack their empire so people began to join in groups to live together and they built walls around these places, forming city-states.
What were some major achievements in Greece between 500 and 350 BC? In the 400s they developed art and architecture, specially for the construction of Parthenons. They created Democracy and did studies for math, astronomy and other divisions of science. They created Philosophy, literature, drama and checked anatomy.
What was the government of ancient Athens like? It was democratic and they had an assembly in which people could express their opinions. Only men could vote.
How did Alexander the Great try to spread Greek culture in his empire? He used to encourage Greeks to move to his recent city-states so they could share their culture to the new citizens.
Where did the ancient Greeks establish colonies? Around the black and mediterranean sea.
Why is the period between 500 and 300 BC called a golden age in Greece? Because it was the best moment in Greek history as they achieved important things in politics, arts, architecture, etc.
What lands were included in Alexander´s empire? Afganistan, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, India, Balcanes, Persia and Cyprus
