How did feudalism work and why did it develop as a form of government? Feudalism was based on ties of loyalty. a lord gave land to a vassal. In return the vassal owed military service and other duties t the lord.
How did medieval kings of England make the feudal system more centralized? the king demanded that all vassals must be loyal to him, which formed a more centralized government
hat was life like in a lord's castle? built of stone, cracks in walls, no mortar/cement animal skins on windows, glass rare/expensive straw on floor to keep it dry bad smells from food scraps/garbage herbs/flowers used as air freshener cooking fire in middle, hole in ceiling for smoke
What was life like in a vassals hut? small huts made of mud or wood, straw roof, one room, holes in walls for windows, no glass, no chimneys, located outside the walls of the castle in groups of 200-500
