major ADR of direct cholinergic drugs? diaphoresis (sweating), flushing, increased urinary urgency, nausea, diarrhea
used for atonic bladder, especially wen the patient is postpartum, to increase bladder's tonicity bethanechol
use dvia eyedrops for acute angle glaucoma. serves to cause miosis, allowing for better drainage of aqueous humor htrough the canal of schlemm. also the most potent stimulator for glandular secretion if used systemically pilocarpine
only used via eyedrops for glaucoma. has the MOA similar to pilocarpine. has very long duration with high potency carbachol
