Amendment Definition
Lawsuits against the States They can't sue someone if they have to do with someone from another state or from a foreign state
President and VP on the same ballot The candidate for President and VP are on the same ballot
Abolished Slavery Ended Slavery
Citizenship is protected for all people All people that are citizens of the US
Vote for all no matter what race Gave all citizents right to vote
Income Tax Government can tax citizens on income tax
Direct Election of Senators Peopel of the State can choose their Senator
Prohibation of Alcohol Outlawed all alcohol transportation, consumption, etc...
Women's Suffrage Gave women right to vote
Lame Duck period Shortened the time period between the elections and when officials are replaced
Repealed Prohibation Allowed people to consume Alcohol
Limit President to two terms Limits on Congressional pay raises
Suffrage for DC DC was given the right to vote for the President
Abolition of the Poll Tax Took away the Tax to vote
Presidential Succesion If something happens to the President then there is a list of people in order that will be in charge
18 year olds right to vote Lowered voting age from 21 to 18
Limits on Congressional pay raises Congress can't vote for themselves to get pay raises
