| esophageal atresia | congenital medical condition that affects the alimentary tract |
| esophageal varices | dilated sub-mucosal veins in the lower third of the esophagus |
| GERD | mucosal damage caused by stomach acid coming up from the stomach into the esophagus |

| pylorospasm | spasm of the pyloric portion of the stomach |
