What can cause dysphagia?

Neuromuscular: diffuse esophageal spasm, achalasia, and scleroderma Obstructive lesions: Strictures, rings, foreign bodies, and carcinoma

Odynophagia usually represents what?

A severe inflammatory process. Rarely associated with GERD. It's a disruption of the mucosa.
