SKIN LESIONS RELATED TO BLOOD

petechia pinhead-size bleeding spot in the skin or mucous membrane
petechial pertaining to or characterized by petechia
ecchymosis A condition of large bleeding spots, patches, or blotches in the skin or mucous membrane
ecchymotic pertaining to or characterized by large patches of bleeding
pupura a bleeding disorder characterized by purple blotches on the skin or mucosa due to numerous petechiae and ecchymoses
pupuric pertaining to or characterized by pupura
extravasation the escape of fluid (e.g. blood or serum) from blood vessels into surrounding tissue
hematoma a swelling containing blood, occuring in tissue or organs (e.g. a black eye or a bruise)
