DOTS: Medical Terms

Medical Terms; the skeleton is divided into two groups: axial and appendicular

axial Pertaining to or forming an axis
appedicular Pertaining to an appendage such as a limb or extremity
skeleton The bony framework of the body consisting 206 bones
skeletal Pertaining to the skeleton
axis A straight imaginary line passing through the center about which a body or part may rotate
