Edexcel Unit 8.4 Crime and Punishment

Addiction a recurring compulsion to engage in an activity regardless of its bad effects
Capital punishment the death penalty for a crime or offense
Crime an act against the law
Deterrence the idea that punishment should be of such a nature that they will put people off committing crimes
Judgememt the act of judging people and their actions
